  Food here is really excellent and at times even innovative. But wow, this place feels really cold and unfriendly. Needs a decorative overhaul, and doesn't need to be expensive. Colors, some drapes, lighting. Enough people have remarked on this, and I wonder why the owner doesn't take the hint. You can't eat the ambience, but good atmo can certainly make you feel better and want to go back.

  Totally agree that food here is awesome! Don't forget to always make sure you've got a big glass of water before digging in.

  We've been going to Renee's for years, especially for their lunch sets (I dare to get the orange beef every now and then). Renee's really friendly and attentive too. One note: there are no meters on Solano in Albany. 90-minute parking on the street, but go down 50 yards or so on any side street and park as long as you want.
