WHAT:
ELIMINATING
PREVENTABLE MALNUTRITION AMONG HIV/AIDS ORPHANED CHILDREN IN UGANDA organized
by Face of Hope International in partnership with Walden University Global Days
of Service. This is a community-wide event organized to benefit orphans taken
care of Face of Hope International in Uganda. Malnutrition was voted as one of
the biggest health threat to children below age five in low developing
countries – Uganda. Over two-thirds of the
population in Uganda works in agriculture, according to the OECD. Yet this East
African nation still has high rates of malnutrition and food insecurity: one out
of five people is undernourished and two out of five children are malnourished,
according to a recent USAID report.
Local business
community, city officials, religious leaders, neighbors, friends, students and
children are all invited to show our love and care by giving our resources to
feed malnourished orphaned children in Uganda.
