Obituary: Rocco L. Pucillo Sr., Lived in Medford for Seven Decades

Pucillo died Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Rocco L. Pucillo Sr. died peacefully at Epoch of Melrose nursing home on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Born and raised in Boston's North End the son of Joseph A. and Jennie (Greco) Pucillo, he lived in Medford for the past seven decades.

Rocco was the beloved husband of Mary (DiMarino) and a devoted father of Mary Rosati and her husband Anthony, Cheryl Fusco and her husband John, Joseph Pucillo and his wife Toni, Rocco Pucillo Jr. and his wife Melissa, and Stephanie Pucillo, all of Medford. He was a loving grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of six, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Rocco served for six years in the National Guard, and was a proud member for over 50 years of Local 22, serving on the union's executive board.

A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday, Nov. 4, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Sunday 3-7 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Rocco's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
