Ronald Mastrocola, 81, of Medford, Retired Air Force Lt. Col.

Ronald F. Mastrocola of Medford, formerly of Everett, died on Aug. 20 at the age of 81.

He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and the Massachusetts Air National Guard for 35 years after his retirement, according to an obituaries on the Rocco & Sons Funeral Home website.

He was the husband of Veronica (Trask); father of Nancy Cosco and her husband John of Londonderry, N.H., Gail of Everett, Ron and his wife Nancy of Stoneham and Ken and his wife Tina of South Hamilton; brother of Frank of Medford, the late Jim, Rose D'Angelo, Florence Tenaglia, Peter and Paul. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Lauren Williams and her husband Jonny, John Cosco and his fiance Jen DeLong, Nick Cosco, Jim, Katelyn, Lia, Ronnie, Gabriela, Greta, Tessa, Michael, Erika and one great-granddaughter Lucia Williams.

Funeral will be at the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St. in Everett, on Friday, Aug. 23 at 9 a.m.. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church in Everett, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Everett.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society, 9 Riverside Rd., Weston, MA 02493.
